After a great Doubles run at the Australian Open Rajeev Ram made it to the quarter-finals in singles at the SA Tennis Open in Johannesburg, South Africa. He lost to 3 seed Feliciano Lopez(ESP) 7-6(2) 6-3. Rajeev and doubles partner Eric Butorac also made it to the semi-finals in doubles, falling to Rohan Bopanna/Aisam Qureshi (IND/PAK) 7-6(5) 6-4.
Rajeev Ram and Eric Butorac continued their streak of 6 in the third matches against number 1 seeds, Bob and Mike Bryan. Unfortunately, this time they came up a little short, losing 5-7 6-4 6-7(2) on Rod Laver Arena.

It's been an extremely satisfying Aussie Open for the doubles team of Rajeev Ram and Eric Butorac.The pair faced off against Brazilians Thomaz Bellucci and Andre Sa in the first round, winning 6-3 6-4. The pair then took on seventh seeds Muriusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski from Poland. Coming down to the wire, Ram and Butorac prevailed in 6-2 3-6 7-6(2) to set up a last 16 birth against Leonardo Mayer and Horacio Zeballos from Argentina. Another epic war ensued with the Americans once again coming out on top, winning 6-7(3), 6-4 7-6(3). While the pair realize that making the quarter finals of a Grand Slam is an incredible achievement, they are hungry to play the number 1 seeds and on form duo of Bob and Mike Bryan. Ram and Butorac are confident in their abilities and are expecting another tight match.
Kevin Anderson struggled on center court against an in form Andy Murray. Kevin never quite found his rhythm to showcase his true potential. He plans to use this valuable experience to achieve his goal of re entering the top 100 in 2010.
Peter Luczak put up a valiant effort against defending champ Rafael Nadal. After having chances to serve out the first set he let Nadal back in the match and lost it 6-7. A confident Nadal then took the remaining two sets 1-6 4-6.
Nick Chappell took out the number 2 junior in the world Gianni Mina 6-4 6-2 in a Grade 1 ITF. The Loy Yang Traraigon International is the warm up tournament to the Australian Open Juniors.
